Deciding on a Halloween costume was so easy when they were young. They would enthusiastically agree with (almost) anything I chose. Now that they’re older, what is appropriate is a harder conversation. I’m not referring to anything too sexy or scary; I want originality and creativity.
I’m thinking that the lack of creativity is a signal that they’re getting too old for trick or treating. The oldest has volunteered to give out candy on the night, dressed up, of course. She loves a homemade costume. The other two are not yet ready to stop, which means I’ll need to get their creative juices flowing over the next 3-4 days.
What is your child dressing up as for Halloween??
