Halloween Events Around NYC

You’re rushing to get up your Halloween decorations tonight so tomorrow you can carve the pumpkin and dress the kids. But, once you get them dressed up, you gotta take them out and parade them around. Have you thought about that? Do you know where you are taking them?

Have no fear, there are plenty of ways to celebrate:

Children’s Halloween Parade at the Queens Botanical Garden. Noon. [Free with $4 admission]

Don’t forget the family dog! Get the pooch dressed and go to the Fort Greene Halloween Festival for the dog costume contest in Fort Greene Park. Noon. [Free to watch; $5 to participate]

The Village Halloween Parade celebrates its 42nd year. 7 p.m. [Free]

And for when those darlings are tucked away in bed, you can groove to spooky tunes at a Rotten Apple Roots and Bluegrass Halloween concert at Jalopy Music Hall in Red Hook, Brooklyn. 9 p.m. [Tickets start at $12]

Saturday, Halloween, is looking autumnal, at 57F with sunny skies during the day and a cool 49F with clouds at night for the haunted holiday. Happy Halloween!
