As always, my time is tight so I can’t afford to wander the city visiting the multitude of holiday markets that pop up at this time of year. There are so many – 8th Avenue Holiday Market, Gifted Holiday Market on E.4th, Grand Central Holiday Fair … and they’re unique and special in their own way.
My favorites are easy to get to, well laid out and full of great gift offerings…..
Columbus Circle Holiday Market – I inevitably get turned around in the rows upon rows of vendors; who would have thought that they could put so many on the southwest corner of Central Park!? The market is open from Dec. 1st – Dec. 24th, 2015. The hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 10am-8pm and Sunday from 10am-7pm.
Bryant Park Holiday Market – Bryant Park is hands down the prettiest market in NYC. Framed by the historic public library and the ice skating rink, this is truly a winter wonderland. Bonus – Bryant Park is a WiFi “Hot Spot”!! Daily – 7:00am to 10:00pm
Union Square Holiday Market – Set in the corner of Union Square Park, this market is always hustling. Apart from the great shopping, I love to people watch at this market. Through to Dec. 24th, 2015, weekday hours are 11am-8pm, Saturdays from 10am-8pm, and Sundays from 11am-7pm.
Carve a few hours out of your day to visit some of New York City’s holiday markets. Apart from finding unique gifts and nibbling on fabulous food, you’ll be supporting small business owners who love what they do.
