Pour The Core: Hard Cider Festival, June 13, 2015

Cider FestivalIt seems like NY’ers can’t get their fill of alcohol. The Craft Beer Festival just ended last weekend and now, to be fair, we’re on to the Hard Cider Festival.

Cider enthusiasts can pay one-price and have an opportunity to try some world class ciders made locally and around the globe. You can speak to over 30 different brewers, responsible for creating some of the world’s most popular and award-winning fermentations.  The one-day event will have live music, lectures, and an array of food trucks.

Cider DrinkerMy favorite ciders are J.K.’s Scrumpy Hard Cider and Strongbow. What’s yours?

Apple Festival, October 7

It might be rainy this weekend, but this looks like a fun thing to do in regardless because fall is apple season in New York!

Come to the farm to buy a variety of apples, donuts, freshly-pressed cider, and apple pie. See cider-pressing demonstrations and watch as the nation’s largest apple cobbler bakes on site! Treat yourself to unique collectibles & local food items for sale, take a hayride, and participate in free children’s games.

Gate admission to this event is free. Sunday October 7, 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
