Mark you calendars for May 29th. That is the day of the kick-off of the annual Films on the Green – a free, outdoor film festival in New York City organized by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, the City of New York Parks & Recreation, and FACE Foundation.
Since 2008, the festival has brought classic and contemporary French cinema to New Yorkers, each season’s films cover a different theme from musicals to literary adaptations and Male figures in French cinema.
To thoroughly enjoy these classics make sure you pack a blanket and a picnic basket, and if you don’t speak French don’t worry – all films have English subtitles.
You can share your experience with #filmsonthegreen #nycurbanlife.
