Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals Adoption Events, Aug. 1&2

A weekend of pet adoption events begins Saturday with Adoptapalooza in Prospect Park. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., more than 150 dogs and cats — and maybe even rabbits — will be on hand looking for homes. On Sunday, the organization hosts Bark in the Park, an adoption event at a Brooklyn Cyclones baseball game. Current dog owners are also welcome to bring their pets to the game. Adoptions go from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; the game is at 1 p.m. MCU Park, 1904 Surf Avenue, at West 17th Street, Coney Island.
Both events include activities aside from adoptions, as well as giveaways for people who already own pets.

Broadway Barks today in Shubert Alley

 Broadway BarksBroadway Barks is being held today, July 11, starting  at 3:00 PM in Shubert Alley, NYC.  The 17th annual Broadway Barks fundraiser — founded by Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore, benefits New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies, and promotes the need for dog and cat adoption.  This year’s event will be co-hosted by Tony winner Peters and Tony nominee Andrew Rannells. You can meet all the adoptable dogs and cats, and Broadway stars. 

The event is free and open to the public.
